FISHING THE FLORIDA KEYS
SO MANY FISH, SO LITTLE TIME
Very few places offer the world class fishing you will find in the Florida Keys and when you book a Marathon fishing charter you'll experience features that make it truly something special.
THE REEFS are accessible within minutes and offer some of the best fishing including Yellowtail Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Grouper, Permit and Barracuda along with many other species.
On our OFFSHORE CHARTERS, beyond the reefs, you'll troll for Mahi Mahi, (also commonly known as Dolphin), Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Sailfish and the occasional Marlin. Mahi fishing offshore from Marathon can be a thrilling adventure. Further out, is where you can also fish the famous seamounts known as the Marathon Humps. This is often a great fishing spot due to their formation as they rise up 600' from the ocean floor depth of 1100'. The gulf stream current swirls around the humps creating a concentration of baitfish that is very attractive to the gamefish and birds.
We also offer SNORKEL TRIPS to get your fill of lobster bayside or just to view the incredible growth making up the largest coral reef in the Keys. Sombrero Reef is one of the most visually amazing reefs in all the Keys and is home to some of the best reef formations in the Keys. It is also home to a wide variety of the most colorful and interesting fish species in the area. It is a Sanctuary Preservation Area (SPA) and is strictly regulated, with fishing and lobstering being prohibited. Enjoy the spectacular underwater scenery but always heed the need to “look but don’t touch.”
If you want to stay a bit more low key, you can book a SUNSET CRUISE to enjoy a sunset with your friends, family or that someone special. And for those who don't care to fish, you can customize your boating adventure to go sightseeing, picnic on a sandbar, go snorkeling, take a boat ride to a local restaurant or bar. We are a full service charter business and will provide an excursion of a lifetime.

DIVE THE BAY FOR SPINY LOBSTER
You can snorkel the bay for lobster (mini season - July 29 & 30, 2020) and full season - August 6th through March 31st). Catch your own or, if you prefer, we'll use our lifetime of experience to "tickle" them out for you.
